So, now that many of you have taken a look at the new Starter Kit e-book we’d love to know your opinion.
In addition, we would love to help someone get a start on the fitness side of their journey. We created the book for you, the fam, so we want to make sure that it is meeting your needs. Drop us a line in the comments section, and we will be picking a random winner next week for a free workout DVD set.
The Prize: Supreme 90-Day DVD workout series
As you’ve probably read by now, EM2WL is all about strength training being incorporated in your fitness journey, for best results. Although we recognize that not everyone will choose to strength train, we highly recommend it. So, we’d like to help one new member of the fam – who may be hesitant due to lack of knowledge, funds, or equipment – to get started with strength training. We will be giving away a 10 disc DVD program that uses minimal equipment. Dumbbells and the stability ball are all you need to get started in this program, so if you already have those, then you’ll be ready to go. This is also a 90 day (12 week), program so it will take you right through your metabolism reset or first 12 weeks of your cut. This would be a good way to get in the habit of strength training if you’re not already or to help you break plateaus by incorporating a new routine if you already are. You can read more about the program here.

Let us know what you what you think, and how we can help. So many people were saying that they were confused/overwhelmed by having to read links and posts all over the place. The purpose of the Starter Kit was to hopefully alleviate the confusion of “Where do I start?” “What do I do next?”
We just want to make the journey as simple as possible, so that you have everything that you need to get started on your journey. Now.
So what did you think? How did we do? Are there still questions unanswered? More info that you’d like to see? Was the information presented in a way that made it any more useful than trying to piece things together? Have you already started on your journey? How are you feeling? More/less energy? Are you experiencing any of the phases that the book discusses? Have you started figuring out ways to make it work for YOU? Concerns or complaints? Let us know how we can improve!
In the meantime, check out the video clip of the DVD set that you’ll be eligible of receiving just for letting us know your thoughts.
Contest Ends:
Random winner will be chosen Nov. 1, 2012 at 11:59pm, and announced on Nov. 2, 2012.

Hey there! I am new to EM2WL. I purchased the Starter Kit recently and I felt that a glossary of terms might be helpful for the newbies like me. For example…what’s a caloric deficit? Sounds like eating less calories to me (??). Also, what’s HIIT? High Intensity….??? The links are great! Very helpful for the lost & confused like me!
This is an excellent point, Claudia! We have a thread on the forum with acronyms, I will check to be sure that those are included. We will also be sure to consider that in our next revision of the book. Thanks for pointing it out!
Sounds neat! I especially like that they only use dumbbells and a stability ball.
I just found out about the starter kit, but I think it’s a great idea. I remember just getting started, and I hated having to go to several different places to figure out what I was supposed to be doing next and how it was supposed to be done. Something like this kit would really save time that could be better spent on the workouts themselves.
Wow!!! One of my mfp friends introduced me today to EMTWL and I am so thankful!!
I have calculated my BMR, TDEE and my cut value. I will start my EMTWL tomorrow.
I have lost 7 of my 16 pounds by, I am sure the starvation method, even though, I thought I was doing it right….still felt hungry though.
Thank you for this website and of your work done in research and wanting to share that information.
I bought the Started Kit. You did very well. It seems like all the information is there. Thank you.
I would love to win that 90week DVD!!!! PICK ME…PICK ME!!!
I think the starter kit is an AWESOME idea! I personally didn’t mind following the links, reading up, watching the vids – but for someone who might, it provides a great foundation.
First of all, thanks for spending all the time and effort by sharing with us all these helpful and useful information. I find it’s great, finally I have a step by step guide to help me reach a healthier lifestyle.
I bought it the other night because I knew I was missing something. I have been doing EM2WL since August and starting NRL4W too. Though I have gained strength, I haven’t lost weight or inches.
After reading thru the booklet the first time, I have decided to do a full reset. Your suggestions, information and linked pages are great. Thanks for such an inexpensive and easy way to get started.
Thanks for all your info! It’s so helpful to me, Priceless in fact!
Thanks for all the FREE information. Especially all the time you devote to the EM2WL family.
I’m a newbie to the world of eating more but am so appreciative of the Starter Kit! I’m throwing myself into it this coming week when I have time off from work for vacation…I’d really like to be healthier & fitter – thanks for offering a ray of hope!
The starter kit is great – especially for those just beginning! $5 is a very reasonable price for the wealth of information. I’d also love to try this workout you’re giving away – I’m a former cardio queen currently doing NROLFW, my days of overexcessive cardio are long gone :)
Would love to try this.
I really appreciate all the info in the starter kit as I just began EM2WL 2 and half weeks ago. I have been doing the CHX program for over 5 months and love it butt would really like to try a new workout soon as well! Thankyou for all you do to help us along this journey!
That would be amazing
LOVE the starter kit. It was long overdue. I’m happy to now have all the info in one place and that I have no longer dig around. Thank you so much for putting it together for for everything that you do! Much love to you!
Just got the Starter Kit yesterday. It’s extremely helpful!! I don’t mind going through the forum and finding links, etc. but I don’t always have the time. This really helped and I think will fine tune the points I’d already picked up – thanks!!
The synopsis alone makes one sigh with relief yall posted, “Let us know what you what you think, and how we can help. So many people were saying that they were confused/overwhelmed by having to read links and posts all over the place. The purpose of the Starter Kit was to hopefully alleviate the confusion of “Where do I start?” “What do I do next?” who may be hesitant due to lack of knowledge, funds, or equipment – to get started with strength training.”
Well in a nutshell that’s my wife and I! Limited equipment & tine as well. We tried protein shake diets, treadmills, and weight machines, but lack if knowledge hasn’t been a friend! We dropped Thirty pounds on a lower calorie diet but only to regain it!!!! I’m 41 and she’s 34 with our first baby on the way this December. We both want to get in shape and be healthy and if weight kiss is a side effect at would be awesome since we’d live to be fit! Not only that I need to be able to keep
Up with my wife and my baby. I’m obese! I’m about 5’7″- 5’8″ and weigh 270/275 with history of high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes in the family; I have two of three now. This could be a start. Thanks for sharing! God bless you guys.
You all are more than helpful when it comes to adopting this life style! I have been able to follow the posts and articles and just jumped right in! Whenever I have questions you address them so promptly. I cannot thank you enough for being that daily reminder to keep going cuz I know its best for my body! Thank you!
Looks intense!!!!! I wanna try……
Looks great! I find that keeping on a good schedule is what helps me succeed.
I believe the starter kit is great in order to keep everything streamlined. Most people don’t like to dig or think so this takes the guess work out of it.
