Losing muscle mass lowers your metabolism.
Yo-yo dieting (and the mindset that it fosters) lowers your metabolism.
The extreme, black-or-white, all-or-nothing thinking that the diet industry promotes is not going to get you to where you want to be. (It’s what got you here in the first place.)
DIETING is not the solution, it’s the problem.
Now, I get it. Everyone wants to look better. (They’re not called skinny jeans for nothin’!) And there’s no shame in that. But we spend so much time, energy and money into trying to achieve a very narrow definition of success without realizing that there are much deeper issues that are actually preventing us from living the life that we want.
Dieting doesn’t encourage us to actually solve our problems. It’s designed to mask our symptoms with short term results so we keep coming back again and again. But this system doesn’t just reek havoc on our bodies it destroys our self-esteem, takes us away from our friends and families and prevents us from living the life we deserve!!
That’s what I have against dieting.
It’s time to start being present with the people we love - and looking and feeling amazing - EVERY DAY!
